Change is good – rarely fun, but good.
As organizations, teams, and individuals realize that change is necessary to respond to a changing client, competitive, or legislative landscape they often require support to manage that change process.
This is never easy.
Quoting Niccolo Machiavelli “There is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct, or more uncertain in its success, than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order of things. For the innovator has enemies who profit by the preservation of the old way and merely lukewarm defenders in those who would gain by the new".
At BPLS we serve as “trail guides” through the change management process by providing a structured means and set of tools for leading the people side of change.
During this process we help organizations assess their readiness for change and specify the collective and individual behaviors that are required to create and sustain the change required.
We are then able to achieve a relatively permanent change in behavior through the application of learning technologies and reinforcement techniques such as may be appropriate to the situation. These may include, but are not limited to, hiring criteria, recognition and reward mechanisms, shifts in organization structure (provided the strategy is first clearly articulated and understood), and knowledge management systems. |
