Organizations, and major functions or departments within an organization, are constantly required to examine their strategy in light of the changing world around them. Although this is an ongoing process the criticality of implementing strategy correctly often takes second place to the analysis and formulation of strategy.
Quoting Constantin Brancusi, a Romanian sculptor, “To see far is one thing, going there is another.”
At BPLS we approach the task of strategy implementation by helping those people impacted by the new strategy to achieve three critical goals:
- Understand the reasons and rationale behind the change and clearly see the benefits of embracing the strategy.
- Provide people with the capabilities and tools needed to execute the strategy
- Constructing an environment required to maintain momentum by ensuring that the leadership behaviors, reward systems and core values are all aligned to the desired strategy.
